a poem

I either have no filter or I’m all filter no in-between
I’m either diluted or delusional no in-between
I’m either amazing or incredible no in-between
I’m either walking or running no in-between
I’m everything I’m nothing I love you I hate you
stay with it a while—don’t try so hard—just to—be—anything—is enough for me
bread
toast
butter
jam
dirt
hands
movie
cake
water
stand
you talk like an old man
like the oldest man
like you’re trying to remember something that you don’t even care about—no that only you care about
and if I don’t care about what you care about I’m dumb?
well I'm not
so what does that make us?
friends
